Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and every other holiday requirement
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units
• Can be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum callback
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility to be eligible
• 2+ years of nursing experience required with stepdown/intermediate/PCU experience required
• ICU experience preferred, Trauma Level II experience preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Ventilator/Trach experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• 4:1 patient ratio handling medical surgical intermediate care patients
• Care for patients with heavy telemetry, stable weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
• Manage insulin drips and primary patients
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be able to work independently and manage tasks timely in fast-paced environment
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Clinical interview required

This healthcare facility operates a 36-bed medical surgical intermediate care unit specializing in high-acuity patient care. The facility maintains Trauma Level II capabilities and utilizes EPIC electronic health records. The intermediate care unit focuses on complex cases including patients requiring telemetry monitoring, ventilator weaning, and specialized care for trauma, neurological, and critical conditions. The facility emphasizes quality patient outcomes and maintains comprehensive inpatient services across multiple specialty units.
