Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day/night variable shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units with appropriate patient assignments
• Subject to low census and on-call requirements with 2-hour minimum callback
• Work on a 40-bed post-surgical care unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients
• Nurse to patient ratio: days/evenings 1:4 or 5, nights 1:5-7
• Fast-paced environment averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize patient care based on acuity
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS
• 2+ years Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience and prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate Degree or Certificate required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Must comply with facility masking policy during flu season if declining vaccinations

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
