Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Majority of shifts: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
• Occasional flexibility required for 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM shifts
• PM shifts may start at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call requirements: 12 hours in a 6-week period with 30-minute response time
• May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Patient ratio: 3-4 patients per nurse in fast-paced environment
• 18-bed trauma level II unit with stroke certification
• Care for cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patients
• RN responsibilities include drawing labs and administering nebulizer treatments
• Work with EPIC computer charting system and Pyxis medication dispenser
• 5 years nursing experience required with minimum 1 year travel experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must be able to work independently, manage change well, and complete tasks timely
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate Degree or Certificate required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Contract length: 13 weeks

The facility features an 18-bed emergency unit equipped with modern technology including EPIC charting systems and Pyxis medication dispensers. The organization provides in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, and on-site X-ray staff in the emergency department, supporting a full range of emergency medical services for cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patients.
