Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with 13-week contract length
• Every other weekend and holiday requirement
• Float to all inpatient units with appropriate patient assignments
• Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS
• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience with recent hospital experience required
• Trauma level II experience required
• Prior travel experience REQUIRED
• Epic charting experience REQUIRED
• Work in 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing post-recovery care after PACU
• Nurse to patient ratio: day/PM 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5 to 1:7
• Handle 10-15 admissions per day in fast-paced environment with 90-95% occupancy
• Care for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients
• Must demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize patient care based on acuity
• Equipment includes Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate Degree or Certificate required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Mask required at all times during flu season if declining flu and COVID vaccination
