Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• MedSurg ICU with 16-bed unit specializing in Level 2 trauma care
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically to critical higher acuity units
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Primary patient ratio of 2:1
• Must have Wisconsin RN License, BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg and ICU experience with strong Neuro experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Must be outside a 50-mile radius of facility
• Any color scrubs permitted
• On-call opportunities available but not required with 1-hour response time
• Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back
• Care for patients with stroke, cerebral monitoring and drains, ventilators, drips, chest tubes, spinal drains, and some CRRT patients
• Handle trauma cases including logging accidents, motorcycle accidents, and snowmobile accidents
• Work with medical-surgical neuro patients, sepsis, respiratory failure, and alcohol detox cases
• Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a 16-bed Medical-Surgical ICU specializing in Level 2 trauma care and neurological services. The unit features clinical leadership coverage seven days a week and maintains comprehensive support staff including CNAs and LPNs to assist nursing care. The facility provides advanced critical care services including cerebral monitoring, ventilator management, and CRRT capabilities, serving as a regional trauma center for the surrounding area.
