Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of Aspirus Wausau
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required
• Subject to low census and on-call status with 2-hour minimum callback
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years experience required with 1 travel assignment preferred
• Medical/Surgical ICU and/or Neuro ICU background with strong neuro assessment skills required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Care for 8-bed neuro unit population including stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Experience with neuro interventional procedures preferred
• Must be familiar with EVDs and ICP monitoring
• Perform neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation assistance
• Assist with bolt and drain bedside placements with neurosurgery team
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
• Associate degree or certificate required
• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per facility policy
