Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Can be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum callback
• Contract includes 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS
• Must pass EKG test within first week of hire
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) and 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Care for 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit with typical 1:4 patient ratio
• Manage post-operative CABG/valve patients, thoracotomy, vascular procedures, arrhythmias, CHF, post-procedure cardiac catheterizations, pacemakers, defibrillators, ablations, acute chest pain/MI, and medical/surgical overflow
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Must demonstrate ability to work independently and manage change effectively
