RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day or night shifts with variables: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (13-week contract)
• Every other weekend and holiday schedule required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Subject to low census and on-call requirements with 2-hour minimum call back
• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience required
• Recent hospital experience and trauma level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Work with Epic EMR, medication scanning rovers, and Alaris pumps
• Provide post-surgical care in 40-bed inpatient unit for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: day/PM 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5 to 1:7
• Fast-paced environment averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy
• Average length of stay 2-3 days (except joint procedures)
• Must be able to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as a team
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must comply with facility vaccination and mask policies during flu season
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
