RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back pay
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 in a fast-paced, high patient turnover environment
• Care for 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit patients including post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular procedures, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cardiac catheterization, pacemaker, defibrillator, ablations, acute chest pain/MI, and medical/surgical overflow
• Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) and 2 years IMC/PCU/telemetry experience
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one travel assignment must be completed
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Any color scrubs allowed
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Must demonstrate ability to work independently and complete tasks timely
