RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday various 8-hour day shifts
• 40 guaranteed hours per week (13-week contract)
• On call requirements: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week with potential for additional call
• 30-minute response time to OR required (vehicle mandatory)
• Work every 3rd-4th weekend and holiday rotation
• Assigned to 4-5 of 21 operating rooms per day covering all specialties
• Must have 3+ years OR experience with anesthesia experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Required certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, Wisconsin RN License or compact license
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with Cell Saver and Belmont equipment required
• Strong OR/CVOR circulating experience needed
• Assist with intubations, fiber optic scopes, sterile techniques with central lines
• Support anesthesiologist with arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters
• Perform IV starts, draw labs, set up medication pumps
• Operate Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment
• Assist with heart surgeries, trauma cases, elective surgeries, and general surgeries
• Prior conscious sedation experience preferred
• 2-week orientation process with additional anesthesia skills training
• Scrub colors provided
• During flu season, unvaccinated staff must wear masks at all times
