RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day/night variable shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract length
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• May be placed on call during low census with 2-hour minimum call back
• Nurse to patient ratio: day/evening 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5 to 1:7
• Fast-paced post-surgical unit with 10-15 admissions per day
• Work with 40-bed inpatient area providing pre and post-surgical care for adults and geriatric patients
• Must have 2+ years medical-surgical experience with recent hospital experience
• Trauma level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care based on acuity required

This healthcare facility features a 40-bed post-surgical care unit that provides comprehensive care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients. The facility maintains high occupancy rates of 90-95% during weekdays and operates as a trauma level II center. The unit specializes in post-recovery care after PACU with an average length of stay of 2-3 days, creating a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires skilled nursing professionals capable of handling multiple priorities and working collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
