RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week for 13 weeks
• 1:4 patient ratio on 8-bed observation unit with 2 RNs per shift
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
• 3 years nursing experience required with 1 travel assignment mandatory
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS (ARC or AHA)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance process
• Background in observation units or step-down MS/Tele units required
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips essential
• Care for patients with anemia, cellulitis, COPD, CHF, dehydration, pre-op, urology, and GI conditions
• Manage various drips including cardiac Cardizem, nitro, insulin, and heparin
• Handle high volume of admissions and discharges with average stays up to 48 hours
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required
• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per facility policy
