RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Shift rotation occurs every week or every two weeks
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract
• Work every other weekend (weekends are Friday through Sunday)
• Work every other holiday
• Float to all inpatient units as needed and potentially to other south region locations including Stevens Point, Plover, and Divine Savior
• No on-call or call back responsibilities
• Care for patients in 8-bed Intermediate Care Unit with telemetry monitoring
• Manage patient ratio of 4:1
• Treat patients with various conditions including stable sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
• Handle primary patients and insulin drips
• Must have Wisconsin RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC required)
• Minimum 2+ years experience in stepdown/intermediate care/PCU required
• Completed travel contract preferred but not required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate degree or certificate required
• Any color scrubs accepted
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, manage change well, and work independently in fast-paced environment
• 50-mile radius rule from facility applies
