RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment specializing in acute stroke and complex telemetry patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and ability to read basic rhythm strips prior to arrival
• Work with primary and team nursing model
• Perform and document frequent neurological assessments including NIH Stroke Scale
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in real time
• Ensure compliance with stroke core measures including dysphagia screening, education, and care plans
• Administer medications using BCMA standards with focus on safety and accuracy
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team including providers, therapy, and case management
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in high-turnover environment
• Maintain constant focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and patient safety
• Deliver evidence-based, protocol-driven care with emphasis on rapid intervention and interdisciplinary collaboration
