Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week over 13-week contract
• Cardiac Renal Unit Stepdown nursing position
• Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to other campuses with 2-hour notice
• Must have 3 years of strong Cardiac/Tele experience and 2 travel assignments
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: Active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Must pass telemetry tests and demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Patient population includes high acuity tele/medical-surgical, cardiac cases, CHF, COPD, sepsis, post ablations, and dialysis patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5 during day shifts
• Skills required: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, initiate/titrate drips, PIV insertion, chest tube management, and nephrostomy tube care
• May require precepting of students and new hires as this is a teaching hospital
• Scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• Associate degree or certificate required
