Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (48 hours available upon request)
• Overtime applies after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
• Work three weekends out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday required
• Float to other campuses within skillset: Deaconess Newburgh (8 miles) and potentially Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• 2-hour notice given for cross campus floats; mid-shift float within same campus possible
• 32-bed Cardiac Renal Unit Stepdown with 1:5-7 patient ratio on nights
• Required certifications: Compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years strong Cardiac/Tele experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Must pass tele tests and demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• High acuity patient population including cardiac patients, CHF, COPD, sepsis, post ablations, and dialysis
• Skills required: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, initiate/titrate drips, PIV insertion, chest tube management, CBI
• Manage antiarrhythmic medications and nephrostomy tubes
• May require precepting students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• No competing health system or agency logos allowed on scrubs
• Three call-ins can result in termination
