Opportunity:

RN - PCU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float to all PCU/Telemetry units within the hospital as needed
• Float between PCU, Overflow, Medical, and Surgical floors - may work a different unit every shift
• Patient ratios: PCU 1:4 (may go to 5), Medical and Surgical 1:5 (may go to 1:6 rarely)
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts required in a 6-week period
• Holiday requirements: 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• Overtime opportunities available
• 1-2 years of experience required with proficiency in neuro assessments and basic cardiac drips
• Must have experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin drip titration
• Required to titrate various drips independently
• Must have EPIC experience and prior travel experience
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips and pass ECG exam
• Required certifications: BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must be proficient with CPAP and high flow oxygen equipment
• Navy scrubs required
• 3 shifts of orientation on 3 different units plus general facility orientation
• Care for patients with stroke, chest pain, arrhythmias, abdominal pain, post-surgical conditions, altered mental status, and other medical conditions
• Work with nurse aids at ratios of 1:8-11 depending on unit
