Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Flexible hours available with accommodation for schedule preferences
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday expectations include 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• First to float if census drops to Medical, Surgical, or Observation Unit
• Work on 36-bed Telemetry Unit with patient ratios of 1:4 on days and 1:4 on nights
• Unit staffed with 5 Techs, Resource RN, and Charge RN out of staffing
• 3-day floor orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS (must be AHA), ACLS, NIHSS
• 1 year PCU experience and telemetry experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Care for patients with CHF, Stroke, Sepsis, Cardiac dysrhythmias, PNA, R/O cardiac, Pain management, and observation status patients
• May also care for inpatient surge patients as needed
• Dress code: Navy blue pants with solid navy blue or solid white tops, navy blue or white jackets, long sleeve shirts under scrubs must be navy or white

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 36-bed Progressive Care Unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities. The facility utilizes EPIC electronic health records and maintains appropriate staffing ratios to ensure quality patient care. The PCU specializes in caring for patients with complex medical conditions including cardiac issues, stroke patients, and those requiring observation status monitoring, providing an intermediate level of care between intensive care and general medical floors.
