RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day/night rotation shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• 1 major winter holiday requirement (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) plus as needed
• Holiday includes the day before, day of, and day after listed holidays
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 in CVICU, 1:3 in stepdown units
• Primary assignment between CICU and CVICU with first to float to other ICUs including stepdown/progressive care/IMC/telemetry units
• 2+ years recent dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU experience required
• Must have recent experience and competency with VV/VA ECMO, IABP, TTM/Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, PA catheter guided therapy
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips
• Manage and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Care for post-op CABG, heart and lung transplant, cardiogenic shock, advanced HF management, cardiac arrhythmia, lysis, post IR/PCI procedures, and TEVAR patients
• Required certifications: VA RN License or Compact License, BLS, ACLS
• Epic EMR system experience required
• Dress code: Navy blue pants with solid navy blue or solid white tops, navy blue or white jackets
• 2-shift floor orientation provided

This medical campus features a 24-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit that provides advanced cardiac care including complex procedures and therapies. The facility specializes in comprehensive cardiovascular services including cardiac surgery, heart and lung transplants, and advanced heart failure management. The organization utilizes Epic EMR system and maintains high standards for cardiac care with state-of-the-art equipment and advanced therapy modalities.
