RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation schedule
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement: 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) including day before, day of, and day after
• Primary assignment between CICU and CVICU with floating expectations to other ICUs, stepdown, progressive care, IMC, and telemetry units as needed
• Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU, 1:3 in stepdown units
• 2+ years recent dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU experience required
• Must have recent experience and competency with VV/VA ECMO, IABP, TTM/Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, and PA Catheter Guided Therapy
• Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips required
• Manage and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Care for patients with post-op CABG, heart and lung transplants, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure management, cardiac arrhythmias, lysis, post IR/PCI procedures, and TEVAR
• Required certifications: VA RN License or Compact License, BLS, ACLS
• Dress code: Navy blue pants with solid navy blue or solid white tops, navy blue or white jackets
• Epic EMR system experience required
• 2-shift floor orientation provided
