Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - PACU
Job Details:
• Work 4 x 9 hour shifts per week
• Work 1 weekend required
• 2 on-call shifts per 6-week period (one weekday, one weekend)
• Call response time: 45 minutes
• 1 holiday per 6-week period if hired during holiday time
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:2
• Work primarily in PACU but must also have Pre-Op experience
• Cover both Phase 1 (15 beds) and Phase 2 (8 beds) areas
• Float only to Pre-Op unit
• 3-day unit/department specific orientation required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Must have 2 years PACU experience and Pre-Op experience
• Work with common cases including general surgery, orthopedic, urology, GYN, plastic surgery, cataracts, and spine procedures
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Read cardiac rhythm strips
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Work with occasional respiratory therapy equipment for difficult extubations
• May recover ICU patients in PACU when no ICU beds available

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 23-bed PACU with both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery areas. The facility provides diverse surgical services including general surgery, orthopedic procedures, urology, gynecology, plastic surgery, cataract procedures, and spine surgeries. The PACU maintains appropriate staffing with charge nurses, unit supervisors, and clinical technicians to support optimal patient recovery and care coordination.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
