RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day/night rotation shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement: 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) - includes day before, day of, and day after
• 2+ years recent dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU experience required
• Must have recent experience/competency within last 6 months in: VV/VA ECMO, IABP, TTM/Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, PA Catheter Guided Therapy
• Required experience with PA Caths/Swan Ganz Catheter, Targeted Temperature Management, CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips
• Manage and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Care for patients with cardiogenic shock, STEMI, cardiac arrest, advanced heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia, and post-procedural patients
• Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU, 1:3 in stepdown
• Float to other ICUs including stepdown/progressive care/IMC/telemetry units - first to float
• Work with Epic EMR system
• 24-bed unit with 2-shift floor orientation
• Virginia RN License or Compact License required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Dress code: Navy blue pants and solid navy blue or white tops, navy blue or white jackets
