RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour rotating shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement: 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) including day before, day of, and day after
• Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU, 1:3 in stepdown units
• 24-bed unit utilizing Epic EMR system
• 2 years recent dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU experience required
• Must have recent experience/competency within last 6 months in VV/VA ECMO, IABP, TTM/Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, and PA Catheter Guided Therapy
• Required certifications: VA RN License/Compact License, BLS, ACLS
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips
• Manage and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Care for patients with cardiogenic shock, STEMI, cardiac arrest, advanced heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia, and post-procedural patients
• Float to other ICUs including stepdown/progressive care/IMC/telemetry units (first to float)
• Dress code: Navy blue pants with solid navy blue or white tops, navy blue or white jackets
• 2-shift floor orientation provided

This medical facility features a 24-bed intensive care unit specializing in advanced cardiac care and critical care services. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including ECMO, IABP, Impella devices, and targeted temperature management systems. The unit provides comprehensive care for complex cardiac patients and utilizes Epic electronic medical records to ensure coordinated patient care and documentation.
