Opportunity:

Cat Scan Tech - Cat Scan Tech

Job Details:

• Work night shifts Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs
• Must be dependable, accountable and cooperative
• Perform wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
• Set up equipment to provide imaging services and position patients for procedures
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical histories
• Administer contrast media following established procedures
• Review CT/radiographic images for clinically acceptable results
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment
• Demonstrate proficiency with power injection operation
• Maintain competency with venipuncture
• Adjust technique to minimize radiation dose while maintaining image quality
• Transport and position patients, help them on and off procedure tables
• Take call when necessary
• Required certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required
• Less than 1 year CT experience preferred
• Must have accredited program in Radiologic Technology
• Must demonstrate competence in CT procedures, patient positioning, and radiation protection
