Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Cat Scan Tech - Cat Scan Tech

Job Details:

• Work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs
• Perform all CT exams according to department procedures with independent judgment
• Set up equipment and position patients for imaging procedures
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history
• Administer contrast media following established procedures
• Review CT images for clinically acceptable results before releasing patients
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment
• Use proper patient identification with 2 unique identifiers per hospital policy
• Demonstrate proficiency with loading and operating power injection equipment
• Maintain competency with venipuncture procedures
• Adjust technique to minimize radiation dose while maintaining image quality
• Clean and disinfect equipment according to infection control policies
• Complete all studies in RIS before completing in PACS
• Take call when necessary
• Required certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required
• Less than 1 year CT experience preferred
• Must graduate from accredited Radiologic Technology program
