Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technologist - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with random day off during the week
• Train to assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures
• Function in monitoring, scrubbing, or circulating roles
• Work with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiologists
• Maintain sterile technique during procedures and assist in maintaining safe environment
• Participate in cath or EP call rotation once appropriately oriented and checked off
• Must be flexible with hours to meet departmental needs
• Prep and educate patients for procedures
• Transport patients as needed and provide privacy and comfort
• Enter data into cath lab log and verify accuracy and completeness
• Maintain stock levels and outdates
• Prepare necessary supplies and equipment for procedures
• Verify patient identification using 2 patient identifiers
• Provide patient and family education related to procedures
• Required certifications: ACLS (within 180 days) and BLS upon hire
• Minimum 1 year work experience in medical setting required
• High school diploma required, associates or bachelors in health science preferred
• Basic knowledge of cardiovascular cath procedures, patient positioning, and radiation protection required
• Knowledge of electrocardiography, coronary heart disease, and cardiac anatomy preferred
