Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Cat Scan Tech - Cat Scan Tech

Job Details:

• Work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs
• Perform wide variety of technical CT procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
• Set up equipment to provide imaging services and position patients for procedures
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history
• Administer contrast media following established procedures
• Review CT/radiographic images for clinically acceptable results
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment
• Demonstrate proficiency with loading and operating power injection
• Maintain competency with venipuncture
• Adjust technique to provide lowest possible radiation dose while maintaining image quality
• Transport and position patients, help them on and off procedure table
• Take call when necessary
• Required certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required
• Less than 1 year experience in CT preferred
• Must be competent in all aspects of CT, patient positioning, exposure factors and radiation protection
• Must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
