Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity:

Radiology Technician - Radiology Technician

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
• Perform up to 25 chest X-rays per day
• Verify patient identification using two identifiers and comparing requisition and chart
• Ensure correct procedures by checking orders and calling for clarification as needed
• Complete annual training and demonstrate age-specific care for patient population served
• Greet and assist patients with appropriate attire, thoroughly explain procedures and expectations
• Select and utilize appropriate technical factors based on body habitus, pathology, and body part
• Position patients properly during procedures consistently
• Verify all images have successfully crossed over into PACS and are high quality before forwarding to radiologists
• Demonstrate knowledge of C-Arm/Fluoro equipment when assisting with pain management procedures
• Maintain thorough knowledge of imaging equipment as listed on Competency Skills Checklist
• Maintain attention to equipment and patient during procedures
• Complete procedures within acceptable timeframes based on complexity and patient condition
• Treat patients and procedures in accordance with confidentiality policies
