Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 on night shift
• Strong cardiac/heart care experience needed with minimum 1 year cardiac experience
• 2+ years medical surgical experience required
• At least 1 travel contract completed preferred
• Must be comfortable with rhythm interpretation and routine cardiac care
• Experience with open heart surgical, arrhythmia, chest pain, cardiac procedural patients, heart failure, and acute MI patients
• Current Epic charting experience within 12 months required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin or Compact RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
• Float requirements to Oconomowoc Memorial and/or Mukwonago facilities as needed
• No on-call or call back requirements
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, and manage change well

Facility:

This healthcare facility features a 31-bed Heart Care Unit (HCU) that serves as an intermediate care unit providing specialized cardiac care and treating a variety of medical conditions. The unit cares for patients with heart failure, heart surgery, thoracic surgeries, pacemaker placements, ablations, TAVRs, cardiac catheterizations, myocardial infarctions, hypertension urgency, sepsis, respiratory failure, strokes, and medical overflow patients. The facility maintains high standards for cardiac care and utilizes Epic electronic health records for comprehensive patient documentation.
