Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week over 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients on night shift
• Must have strong cardio/heart care experience with minimum 1 year cardiac experience
• 2+ years medical surgical experience required
• At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
• Must be comfortable with rhythm interpretation and familiar with cardiac care
• Experience with open heart surgical, arrhythmia, chest pain, cardiac procedural patients required
• Handle patients with heart failure, acute MIs, sepsis, respiratory failure, strokes
• Current Epic charting experience within 12 months required
• ICU nurses accepted if comfortable with patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Required certifications: Wisconsin or Compact RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
• Float requirements to Oconomowoc Memorial and/or Mukwonago facilities as needed
• No on-call or call back requirements
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
Facility:
This healthcare facility features a 31-bed Heart Care Unit (HCU) that serves as an intermediate care unit treating a diverse patient population. The unit specializes in cardiac care including heart failure, heart surgery, thoracic surgeries, pacemaker placements, ablations, TAVRs, and cardiac catheterizations, while also managing medical conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and strokes. The facility maintains modern equipment and Epic charting systems to support comprehensive patient care.

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
