Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 36-bed medical/surgical unit providing 24/7 nursing care
• Patient population includes adolescents (17 years and older) to geriatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5/6 in a very fast-paced environment
• Float required throughout the facility
• Manage high patient turnover with potential to discharge and admit multiple patients per shift
• Care for patients with general and surgical needs including general surgery, colorectal surgery, abdominal surgeries, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, urology, women's health, gynecology, uro-gyn, gyn oncology, plastics, ENT, trauma, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, and spinal/neuro overflow
• Provide care for women with obstetrical issues including intra-uterine fetal demise, preeclampsia, hyperemesis, substance abuse withdrawal during pregnancy, and diabetic pregnancies
• Must have 2+ years of recent medical/surgical experience
• Epic experience within the last year required
• BLS certification required
• Solid black scrubs required
• Must have accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed with none permitted during first two weeks of assignment
• Block schedules not accommodated
