RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care on a 28-bed medical-surgical unit focused on geriatric patients aged 65 and older
• Work with patient-to-nurse ratios ranging from 1:5 to 1:6
• Float to other units as needed
• Care for patients with various medical diagnoses including GI bleeding, UTIs, trauma, infections, pneumonia, CHF, changes in mental status, and failure to thrive
• Must have phlebotomy experience and ability to draw and maintain IVs
• Provide 24/7 nursing care for inpatient acute care needs and patients requiring close observation and testing
• Work with overflow medical and/or surgical patients
• Follow evidence-based "4Ms" framework focusing on What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility
• Required qualifications: BLS certification, 2+ years of recent medical-surgical experience, last 12 months of Epic experience documented on resume
• Must have accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off accepted, no RTO allowed during first two weeks of assignment
• Interview required for consideration
