Opportunity:

RN - Neurology

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day/night variable shifts with primary focus on day shifts
• Day shift hours: 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM / Night shift hours: 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (except during orientation week and holidays when unit is closed)
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Holiday rotation as needed depending on unit requirements
• Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence
• Float throughout facility within skillset and to all facilities within a 60 mile radius
• No on-call or call back requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:4 with typically 4-5 RNs and 2 patient care technicians per shift
• Primary cases include stroke patients and post-operative spinal/brain/cervical surgeries
• Care for 16-bed neurology unit with post-stroke patients, post-operative patients from brain/neck/spine surgeries, trauma patients, and TBI patients
• Required certifications: WI RN license (or compact), AHA BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 3+ years RN experience and 1 previous travel contract required
• EPIC charting experience within the last year strongly preferred
• Experience in stroke care and post-operative back/spine/cervical procedures desired
• Black scrubs required
• 8-hour non-billable orientation
• Associate degree or certificate required
• Must be located more than 50 miles from facility
