RN - OR

Job Details:

• Work in 7-room operating unit with Monday through Friday schedule, typically finishing by 7-8 PM
• Float to main OR (26 rooms) when needed based on staffing requirements and skill set
• Must be able to scrub and circulate for various surgical procedures
• DaVinci XI robotic experience required
• Must be proficient in posterior eye and eye trauma procedures
• 2 weekend call shifts required per six-week schedule
• Work 6 shifts of 11:00 AM to 9:45 PM per six-week schedule
• No other weekend obligations beyond required call shifts
• Handle diverse surgical cases including general surgery (hernias, appendectomies, cholecystectomies), colorectal procedures, gynecological surgeries, urology procedures, breast surgeries, eye procedures, brachytherapy assistance, plastic surgery, uro-gynecological procedures, and robotic surgeries
• Work with specialized equipment including robotic surgical systems in 2 dedicated robotic rooms
• Support various surgical specialties including general, colorectal, gynecology, urology, breast, eye, plastics, and uro-gynecology procedures
• Assist with complex procedures such as gender affirmation surgeries, mastectomies with reconstruction, and advanced urological procedures

This major medical center operates two distinct surgical departments: a main operating room with 26 rooms handling level one trauma cases, and a 7-room inpatient/outpatient surgical unit. The facility provides comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties including orthopedics, vascular surgery, ENT, general oncology, transplant services, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, cardiac surgery, and trauma care. The medical center is equipped with advanced robotic surgical technology and maintains high standards for complex surgical procedures across diverse medical specialties.
