Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Work night shifts Friday through Sunday from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (no guaranteed hours first 2 weeks of contract)
• Weekend requirement: every weekend
• On-call requirement: 7 days per month with flexibility for additional days based on staffing needs
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Uniform requirement: galaxy blue scrubs
• Work with Philips Epiq Elite and Philips Affiniti ultrasound equipment
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Associates of Applied Science degree required
• Must be a graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasound program
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification required
• 3+ years of ultrasound experience required
• Must be able to perform both general and vascular ultrasound examinations
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required
• Must hold one of the following credentials: ARRT-VS, RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB/GYN, RDMS-RVT, RDMS-PS, RDMS-MSKS, or RDMS-BR
• Complete variety of routine diagnostic ultrasound procedures of moderate complexity
• Work independently and provide direct assistance to physicians
• Operate ultrasound equipment for data acquisition, image reconstruction, and documentation
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide patient education
• Perform quality control measures to ensure optimal image quality
• May be exposed to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, radiation, and hazardous medications
