Hospital Basics - Bon Secours Mercy Health is known for providing compassionate, high quality care to patients and prides themselves on their ministry and providing health care access to everyone in the communities they serve. They have high extension rates; Countless travelers will take a 30 day break in order to extend BEYOND 1 full year at their facilities. 2. Location - Bon Secours’ largest markets are Ohio and Virginia, but have smaller sister facilities in Kentucky and South Carolina as well. For the Ohio Market they have a strong presence RIGHT HERE in Prolink HQ’s backyard – Cincinnati, OH. They also have facilities in Northeast OH (Youngstown area), Northwest OH (Toledo, Cleveland) and Central OH (Springfield). Whether your talent is looking for an assignment in a bustling big city or a smaller city that is within driving range of a major metro area, BSMH has plenty of options to meet your talents’ motivators. The Virginia market is mainly located around the Richmond, VA area. Beautiful, full of history, and has a variety of attractions as well as VERY affordable housing options. Richmond provides a smaller city feel with plenty of options for all interests. Noted for incredible food, from “mom and pop” restaurants to five star places to eat. It is a very safe place to live, work and explore. 3. Traveler Friendly - Bon Secours is a traveler friendly system – with clear First Day Instructions. They frequently provide feedback in real time for our talent so we have an opportunity to coach behavior. They also provide positive feedback on how our talent is going above and beyond! Onboarding process is clearly defined in the First Day Instructions and they have ample time to get familiar with the timekeeping, unit details, and management. 4. Organized Leadership - The education provided to travelers is not only quality at time of orientation, but travelers have the opportunity to add modules and supplement their education about their skillset or Mercy while on assignment through Workday. 5. Additional Insights for Recruiters - Work Expectations: BSMH does heavily rely on travelers being flexible with floating. This is typically floating to like units within the facility they work at. There are positions that require floating to nearby facilities but those are clearly marked as float pool openings. Previous Traveler Feedback: High extension percentage; frequently have travelers extend for year(s) after taking break after 1 year.
