Registered Nurse - Telemetry I (Float Pool)

Work Schedule

• Night shifts, 19:00 - 07:30
• Every Other Weekend (EOW)
• 36 hours per week
• Rotation includes Days/Eves with 1 to 3 rotations to Nights per contract

Job Description

• Float pool nurse covering up to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units across the hospital
• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours
• Patient care includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication nursing, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Clinician to patient ratio: up to 6:1 on nights, up to 5:1 on days and evenings
• Charting system: EPIC

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• 2 years or more of total travel experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in an Acute Care setting

Additional Notes

• Must be willing to float to multiple units within the hospital
• Bed counts on units range from 8 to 41 beds
