Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend (EOW)
- 36 hours per week
- Rotation includes days/evenings with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract
Job Description
- Float Pool RN position requiring willingness to float to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units within the hospital
- Responsible for cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours
- Administer cardiac drips and manage TR Band
- Patient care includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication nursing, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
- Patient-to-clinician ratio: up to 6:1 on nights, up to 5:1 on days and evenings
- Charting system: EPIC
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- Minimum 2 years working as a Traveler
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with cardiac drips
- Experience managing TR Band
