Description

Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Location: Utica, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, variable shifts
Hours per Week: 40 hours
On-Call: Up to 7 days per 4-week schedule, including one full weekend

Job Description

Provide nursing care in a cardiovascular operating room setting.
Patient population: Adult
Unit size: 2 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1
Common diagnoses: Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), Aortic Stenosis (AS), Mitral Regurgitation (MR)
Technology used: EPIC electronic health record system, Omnicell medication management system
Floating to other units may be required if census is low
Local candidates within 75 miles may be considered for local rate

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiovascular nursing
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate's degree
Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support)

Additional Information

Start date: August 31st
