Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

• Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
• Requires either:

  • 3+ years of Emergency Department (ED) experience and previous travel experience, or
  • More than 5 years of experience in a large ED without travel experience
• Must be proficient with EPIC electronic health record system
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• At least 3 years of total travel experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification
• ACLS certification
• TNCC certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• MOAB or CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training)

Additional Information

• Completion of onboarding requirements including education attestation and contract worker onboarding onsite
• Optional unit-specific checklist may be required by unit leader within one week of start
• May be required to complete pre-hire modules and assessments prior to clearance

Prior Travel Experience

• Required: must have previous travel experience or meet the higher experience threshold (3+ years ED with travel or >5 years ED without travel)

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs comfortable with EPIC and flexible to float within a 40-mile radius. The role requires comprehensive certifications, immunizations, and compliance with detailed onboarding and screening processes.
