• Bridgeport, West Virginia

Assignment Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, nights
• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff

Unit Details

• Telemetry/MedSurg float assignment
• May float between multiple telemetry units and to MedSurg/Tele units
• Most frequent units: 6N and 7N
• Patient population includes cardiac, post-cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, ortho, and oncology patients
• RN may float to Critical Care only if they have that experience

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• Ability to titrate drips
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Clinical Expectations

• Basic telemetry patients
• Occasional titrated cardiac drips
• No sheath pulls
• No arterial lines

Work Environment

• Charge nurse available 24/7
• RN uses Phillips monitors
• RT manages CPAP and BiPAP

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs
• No false nails
