• Nights, 12-hour shifts

Unit Overview

• Telemetry/stepdown unit with 28 private beds
• Typical patient mix includes heavy cardiac cases, dysrhythmias, CVAs, and patients downgraded from ICU

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Unexpired driver’s license copy must be submitted with the application

Clinical Expectations

• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must be able to titrate Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin drips
• May float to ICU as helping hands

Schedule / Work Environment

• Weekend rotation required
• Every other holiday required
• 2 shifts of floor-specific orientation with a preceptor
• Ratios are typically 1:4-5, or 1:6 for MedSurg acuity

Additional Notes

• No more than one submission at a time within the system
• Navy blue scrubs required, including jackets if worn
