Shift

• Nights, 12-hour shifts

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required
• No call

Unit Overview

• Medical-surgical, progressive care, and telemetry neuro trauma unit
• 28 beds
• Patient population includes neuro and trauma/orthopedic cases

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• NIHSS
• 2 years of medical-surgical, progressive care, or ICU experience
• Recent experience in the setting within the last year
• Drip titration experience

Preferred Experience

• Experience with trachs and vents
• Home trach vent experience

Responsibilities

• Titrate drips
• Float to sister medical-surgical units

Additional Details

• Self-scheduling
• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• Nurse aides are available
• Central monitoring is located in a different area
• Solid color scrubs required
• Orientation includes 1 shift of general orientation and 1 shift with a preceptor
• Open to first-time travelers
• Candidates who have previously worked at the facility must have had an end date at least 6 months before submission
