Description

Progressive Care Unit RN

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Employment Type: Clinical–Nursing
Schedule: 3x12, 7p–7a, weekend and holiday rotation
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Overview

This role provides direct patient care on a progressive care unit, including assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient/family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Telemetry experience within the last year
1 year of telemetry experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience

Preferred Qualifications

BSN
Previous nursing experience

Key Responsibilities

Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
Develop and implement nursing care plans and interventions
Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately
Delegate and oversee patient care tasks as appropriate
Provide discharge teaching and coordinate discharge planning
Participate in quality improvement activities and core measures
