Required Qualifications

• Active ACLS and BLS certifications
• 1 year of PCU experience or prior ICU experience
• Cerner experience
• Ability to titrate drips
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must have excellent patient care and documentation skills

Unit Details

• 12-bed unit plus 4 ICU rooms
• Average census: 8 patients
• Typical ratios: 1:3-5; ICU 1:3; IMC/PCU 1:3-4; Med Surg 1:5
• Two RNs are present in the department at all times
• Team nursing includes RN and LPN coverage for up to 7 patients
• Common patient types include pneumonia/COVID and post-op knees, hips, and falls

Responsibilities

• May be asked to take a charge role
• May need to float to the ED for tasking or hold patients
• May be placed on call/standby with a 45-minute response time
• Must work every 3rd weekend
• Must work 2 of 3 holidays

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Travel duos are accepted
• Block scheduling may be considered but is not guaranteed
• Scrubs may be any solid color
• Submission must note any prior employment with this facility, and prior employment requires a 6-month gap before submission
• Clocking in and out at the facility is required
