Job Opportunity: RN Step Down

Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

Provide nursing care in a step-down unit with a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac (preferably cardiac drips), post-operative (orthopedic, genitourinary, gynecological, general surgery), and general medical patients.
Must be adaptable and able to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within a 40-mile radius if needed.
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required.
Travel nursing experience preferred.

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
Minimum of 2 years of step-down nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
