Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• Days and nights
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday

Unit Details

• Adult behavioral health and detox population
• Common diagnoses include alcohol use disorder, polysubstance use, alcohol detox, depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia
• 10-bed unit
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3, with a maximum of 1:5
• Charge nurse is present 24/7 and takes patients
• CNA/unit coordinator support is available on day and night shifts
• Respiratory therapy is available if needed
• Telemetry is not used on this unit
• IVs are rarely performed
• Physical restraints are rarely used

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• 1 year of experience
• First-time travelers are accepted

Housing

• Housing leads are available
• Candidate should confirm housing options in the area before submission

Orientation

• 2–3 days with a preceptor

Dress Code

• Street clothes or scrubs are allowed
• Clothing must be neat, clean, and appropriate
• No tank tops, blue jeans, or open-toed shoes
• Photo name tag must be worn while on duty
