House Supervisor

Location

• Minocqua, Wisconsin

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Mostly Monday through Friday
• Occasional weekend coverage as needed
• Holiday coverage may be required
• No call or standby requirement

Contract Length

• 8 weeks

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• IV skills
• General nursing skills
• People skills
• Ability to multitask and think critically
• Ability to learn resources quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• NRP preferred

Experience

• Generalist background acceptable

Key Responsibilities

• Support hospital operations overnight
• Round on Surgery, Emergency Department, Med-Surg, and Women’s Health
• Assist with emergency surgeries and critical situations, including Rapid Response, Code Blue, and Trauma
• Help with admissions, transfers, staffing coverage, and patient placement
• Assist with clerical tasks, patient flow, service recovery, and supply needs
• Provide hands-on support in Surgery, Med-Surg, Emergency Department, Women’s Health, and PACU as needed
• Help pass medications, settle patients, answer call lights, start occasional IVs, and draw blood
• Oversee staffing during off-hours

• 31 licensed beds
• Typical inpatient census: 12–16
• Med-Surg: 18 beds
• Women’s Health / Nursery: 8 beds
• Emergency Department: 12 beds
• Urgent Care: 12 beds

Orientation

• General overview to all units
• At least 3 shifts of focused training on specific duties

Additional Notes

• Cerner is used as the EMR
• Navy scrubs required
• Local candidates within 80 miles may be subject to a reduced local rate
• Supervisor does not take a patient assignment
