ICU Registered Nurse

Location

• Gillette, Wyoming

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Travel contract
• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Current Wyoming or compact nursing license
• 2 years of recent ICU/CCU experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS or ENPC
• Ability to read EKGs

Job Details

• ICU setting with 11 beds
• Cares for patients of all ages
• May occasionally assist with pediatric emergencies
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 2 to 3 patients per nurse
• Navy scrubs required

Schedule and Orientation

• Shifts may be rotating or straight
• Call is not required, but may be requested occasionally
• 3 shifts of orientation with an ICU RN on the floor
• No classroom orientation

Unit Support and Equipment

• Support available from CPS, Lab, Radiology, hospitalists, and eICU
• Equipment includes ventilators, BiPAP, Swan monitoring, Phillips monitors, IV pumps, and transvenous pacers

Additional Notes

• Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius
• The client may call off or cancel up to 24 hours per 13 weeks
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation is included
