ICU Registered Nurse

Gillette, Wyoming

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• Day/night rotating schedule
• Call is not required, but may be requested occasionally

Unit Overview

• ICU with 11 beds
• Cares for all ages
• Typical patient ratio is 2–3 patients per nurse
• May care for ventilated patients and patients with conditions such as post-cardiac cath, IABP, sepsis, COPD, post-op surgical, trauma, limited neuro, and DKA
• Occasional pediatric support may be needed in emergencies

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of recent ICU/CCU experience
• Wyoming or compact nursing license
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS or ENPC
• Ability to read EKGs

Preferred Experience

• Tele experience
• 1 year of experience is preferred

Orientation

• 3 shifts of orientation with an ICU RN on the floor
• No classroom orientation

Additional Notes

• Navy scrubs required
• Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
